The Federal Home Loan Bank of NY planned to upgrade, expand, and relocate its Jersey City offices to a neighboring building and chose Henegan to do the job. Their new space at 70 Hudson St. consists of high-end offices, “town hall” and conference facilities, a café, a fitness center, and cutting-edge AV installations – including a 50-foot command center media wall. The finishes include curved glass office fronts, living walls, curved millwork, and back-painted glass with oil rubbed bronze inlays followed by curved ceiling installations, using a Newmat stretch ceiling system, BASWA Phon acoustical plaster, sheetrock and acoustical spray-on materials. A complex and unique lighting system with a full controls package provides a final accent to the space. The project was built on a very aggressive timeline to allow the Client to meet an end of lease date for their prior tenancy.
