Henegan recently had the pleasure of completing a full interior fit-out of a 50,000SF space in the heart of Midtown, Manhattan for one of the world’s leading banks. Their new space consists of offices, executive board rooms, conferencing facilities, work cafés, shared and private restrooms, locker rooms, a library, and a gaming lounge. The floors are marked by high-end solid wood finishes, state of the art light-fixtures, and an open-ceiling workspace utilizing Turf Straight acoustic ceiling baffles. Sophisticated design details, such as “printed-to-fit” custom wallpapers that recreate New York landmarks such as the ceiling at Grand Central Terminal, give the space a classic and polished look, deeply rooted in New York City’s rich construction history.
The LEED-Gold space is heated and cooled by an underfloor HVAC system with swirl-diffusers throughout the raised floor. Utilizing the building’s strong infrastructure and existing medium pressure ductwork, Henegan was able to seamlessly integrate the new construction on the floors with existing building services to maintain building standards and energy efficiency.
Due to government ordered Covid-19 restrictions, work was halted for three months during the height of construction. Upon returning to work in June 2020, Henegan implemented both the logistic and safety measures required to complete the project in a safe and timely manner.
